I Don't Think So

Well...
apparently ITE hasn't had enough of fucking with me, yet.

They recently contacted the Investigating Officer (who was assigned to my previous case)
to get him
to tell ME to shut down MY blog.

After getting clarification from him (I went into details this time),
as long I don't make any threats or shit like that,
having all these posts up can't be considered 'illegal'.

So guess when I'm taking this blog down?
NEVER.

Chew on that.

But since this blog is no longer 'personal',
I'ma start posting on a new one.

Well, enough of that.

Deferment

Well, seeing how my appeal
is pending,
there's nothing much the local newspapers can publish.
For now.

I'll just have to get back to them later.

For the time being, I've got a couple of things planned.

The hearing's on the 20th of February.

Ah... so much to do... so little time...

Same Old Topic

Well, I've finally managed to get a hold of the newspaper
itself...
and check it out: I got a whole page to myself.

Aaaaaand it's pretty much full of shit.

Not only did the reporter not bother
to interview ME,
he published pretty much everything they wanted him to.

The hell kinda reporter does that?
Oh yea... a shitty one.

Anyway, I'm gonna write him a letter,
and publish it on my blog.

It's 1am now, so I'll do it tomorrow.

And I'm hoping to talk to another reporter.
You know, a competent one.

I'll also talk more about the article later...
and clarify some points.

Guess Who's Back?

Well I was gonna wait until after the appeal hearing to
continue blogging but hey guess what?

I got told today that my picture
appeared in The New Paper today,
and in the article,
the school had said that it was incensed at
what I supposedly did.

First of all,
I'm pretty sure the word "incensed"
was used by the reporter.
Because those idiots can't speak proper English to save their lives.

Second of all,
I am innocent. Of everything.
And before the appeal,
I intend to speak with the reporter to give me my side of the story.

Oh hey, and yea... I'd been convicted.
Without a trial.
I pleaded guilty.

Why?
Let's see now... apparently
the standard punishment for the
offence is a 1k fine,
and a trial would've cost close to 8k,
and since it was my friend's and mine's word against theirs,
my lawyer said that it's likely that I'd lose.

And what was my 'punishment'?
10 weeks!
Ah yes... story of my life.

On top of that,
minutes before I was supposed to be sentenced,
the prosecution (real nice folks)
forced me to say that I'd deliberately broken the glass door
for the charge to be taken into consideration.

I'd claimed all along that it was an accident.
My friend was behind me when it broke and on top of that,
the CCTV footage would've clearly shown that it wasn't intentional.

Oh yeah, and even though I was pissed off that night,
I'd still offered to pay for the door (which they didn't accept, naturally).

So I got hit with 2 charges.
Criminal Intimidation : Apparently I PLANNED to THREATEN to burn down the school (bullshit)

And something called Mischief (breaking the door was "mischievous").

So fine, it was minutes before sentencing,
and my lawyer had already cancelled out the "accidentally" part.
He urged me to agree so I did.
Always trust your lawyer's judgement, eh?

And the judge knew about it.
In the transcript,
he asked if I was retracting my admission (regarding the glass door)
and my lawyer said "no".

And then the judge carried on like it was nothing.

I mean... if you'd been claiming for MONTHS that
it was an accident, and they'd charged you for it...
I guess you would, MINUTES BEFORE SENTENCING
say that you did it on purpose.

Sure. Makes lots of sense.

Oh hey, heyy...
and taken into consideration it was.

He mentioned that incident specifically when giving me the heavy
sentence. I'm not gonna say what he mentioned
in Court... apparently it pissed off judges when you call them on their mistakes.

Instead, I'm gonna quote his written judgement about the broken door (fun reading, quite entertaining).

"... the offence was committed at 7pm that same day i.e. two and a half hours
after committing criminal intimidation, the accused had caused damage to
the glass door of the ITE".

Ok... bad English aside (from a judge... yep, not alarming at all),
two-and-a-half hours?
THAT IS WHEN THE MEETING ENDED.

The glass door accidentally broke as I was LEAVING THE PLACE.

It seemed like I threatened them,
left, came back, and smashed the glass door.

And now, let us attempt to use common sense.

7pm? The office should have been closed by then (it was one of the doors to the main office),
so what were those idiots (the lecturers)
doing there?

COULD IT BE THEY HAD JUST ENDED A MEETING WITH SOMEONE?
So they all stayed at the office, two-and-a-half hours after the meeting ended?
Oooh.. were they all curled up
at a corner hugging each other... scared as hell?

Sheesh.

Also, why would I leave the meeting,
return about 3 hours later,
break the glass door... AND WAIT FOR THE POLICE?

And then offer to PAY for the glass door?
Even include it in the statement to the police that night?

Wow. I must be some kind of criminal mastermind.

THANK GOD the judge saw through my ruse!
I hope he's patting himself on the back for a job well done!
Somebody send that man a lemon.

Hey judge,
I hope you fall in the washroom,
onto the toilet, and break your hip.

I'll get to the reactions of some (now former) close
friends of mine when they found out about my being charged (not even the charges themselves)
later...

I've got a reporter to call.

Well enough of that.
For now.

HELL NO it's not over.
